April 08: Three books I did structural reports on (wearing my other hat as a freelance editor - actually there is no hat) have been put on the notable books list on the CBCA list and two of them have been shortlisted. Congratulations to Odo Hirsh, Meme Maconald and Jenni Overend. Also big congrats to my good friend Kate Constable, her novel Taste of Lightning is also a Notable Book (damn straight!).

March 08: I have just been invited to attend the Melbourne Writer's Festival! It's an honour to be invited and I am excited about the festival's move to its new home at Federation Square.

Feb 08: The Indigo Girls is taking Australia and New Zealand by storm! Sales have been great and reviews enthusiastic. Girls rock!

Jan 08: I will be touring libraries in the Wimmera Region conducting workshops and presentations with school groups. I will also be a guest speaker at a literary dinner on Friday 14th March.

Josie and the Michael Street Kids - an Aussie Chomp released! I really enjoyed writing this Chomp for Penguin.

Indigo Girls, a young adult novel published through Allen and Unwin is due for release in Feb 08!! Intended for a simliar audience to the Undine series, this novel has been published in a collaboration with Girlfriend Magazine, and was lots of fun to write. I hope you like it!
